Maroondah Reservoir – Within 5 mins drive of Healesville House. Facilities include picnic tables & free BBQs, walking paths & toilet facilities. See the waterfall and the view from the top of the dam wall. Easy parking.

The main street of Healesville has many restaurants & cafes which are open 7 days.  Yarra Glen also has a number of excellent cafes.

Essenza – the hippest cafe in Healesville. Coffee aficionados! Lashings of Italian food. Great for breakfast or an easy lunch.

Balgownie Estate – Serious class.  Fine dining, elegant cellar door, conference facilities & day spa.  Wine divine!

Stones of the Yarra Valley – a total culinary and visual delight. Wander across the way to their regional cafe Meletos for a casual lunch or dinner. Be sure to pop into their newest addition The Providore where you can purchase local produce, home-wares and floral arrangements.

Coldstream Hills – the Australian wine legend Mr James Halliday & his wife Suzanne first established this beautiful winery.  Their flair continues today under the skilled wine-making of Andrew Fleming & Greg Jarratt.

Mac Forbes Wines – boutique and passionate!

Yileena Park Winery – think French country manor & wine and you’ve found it. A hidden gem just out of Yarra Glen.

Vines Restaurant – a gentle drive up to Helens Hill (Coldstream) will delight the palate. Lunch & dinner Thurs – Sun or book the venue for a special occasion.

Maddens Rise Wines – the funkiest wine cellar decorated with Emma’s flair!  Classy wines!

Dixons Creek Estate – in keeping with Yarra Valley style – views, great wines, friendly staff.

Steels Creek Estate – the quiet achiever along the track – worth the few minutes extra drive.  One of the smaller but totally boutique wineries of the Yarra Valley.

Oakridge Wines – consider a long lunch to compliment their superb wine range.

Zonzo Restaurant – enjoy superb Italian cuisine and relaxing views. Also great for private events, especially weddings! Pizza is amazing.

Innocent Bystander – Newly opened at the old White Rabbit site, IB’s is open for Lunch and dinner 7 days.

Giant Steps – Their philosophy in the kitchen is the same as in their winery – showcase the best quality produce available. Their menu pays tribute to some of the finest ingredients available both locally and abroad.

Boat O’Craigo – bright & welcoming with an award winning choice of reds, whites & sparkling. Fantastic pizzas and tasting platters.

Tokar Estate – a touch of European chateau in the Yarra Valley. Food – divine! Wine – supreme!

Yering Station – the earliest winery in the region. Located on Melba Highway with magnificent views across the valley, Yering offers fine dining, a bistro, high tea, award winning wines, art gallery & a superb farmer’s & gourmet market on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Domaine Chandon – the classy Australian subsidiary of Moet & Chandon! Bubbles anyone?

Toolangi Tavern – drive 15 mins along St Leonard’s Road through the best of Victorian forests to reach the charming Toolangi Tavern.  The glow of the open fire, mountain views plus a sumptuous menu choice is a relaxing way to wind down the day.  Be sure to book.

Rayner’s Stonefruit Orchard – in Woori Yallock – where you will taste fruit like it should taste!  A cafe, fruit produce & a tranquil environment but most importantly, fabulous fresh fruit straight from the trees. The take-home fruit pies are heavenly.

Yarra Valley Dairy – cheese heaven! Book some seats & just eat! Plenty of supplies to take home for afters!

Healesville Hotel – Sit and enjoy the ambiance of the dining room or the more casual bar or outdoor area for lunch or dinner. Head across to Harvest Cafe for a healthy breakfast or lunch and don’t forget to browse Kitchen & Butcher next door. Filled with delicious cheeses, artisan bread, various cuts of meat dressed daily by the resident butcher and many beautiful home-wares. It’s sure to delight!
